What's in ... Paige Davis' suitcases
Clothes for all seasons. "I am literally living out of three suitcases for an entire year!" says the perky host of TLC's "Trading Spaces" (Saturdays, 8 and 9 p.m. ET). Now in her third season with the home-decorating show, Davis hits the road for 200 days a year, crossing various climates. When she's not traveling for work, the New York-based Davis, 33, is packing for personal reasons. Her husband, actor Patrick Page, this month finishes a six-month tour of "The Lion King". "When I do have days off, I don't even get to go home. I go wherever he is," she says.
Among her must-haves: "I [carry] winter clothes and summer clothes. I gotta have a coat. That winter coat takes up a lot of space!" For daily wear: workout clothes, "a bunch of T-shirts and a few pairs of jeans. They're the most comfortable." Her current favorites? Paper Denim & Cloth jeans and a gray V-neck tee.
Because she spends so much time away, she brings along reminders of loved ones. Two requisite ones: "a little silver elephant ring holder that my husband gave to me. I also have this tiny silver figure of a person bowing that my sister gave to me."
A scented candle makes hotel rooms homier, she says. Last but not least, "my gray furry slippers. Gotta have those!"
