I recently rented "Searching for Debra Winger," the documentary about what happened to some of the great actresses of the 1980s. Now I'm searching for Michael Keaton.
Jennifer Carran, Crestview Hills, Ky.
You must have missed him playing the president in fall's teen movie "First Daughter," but you may see Keaton, 53, in January's creepy mystery thriller "White Noise," as well as in a big summer movie, "Herbie: Fully Loaded," an updated "Love Bug."
What are singer Jason Mraz's plans now that the Curbside Prophet tour is over?
Julie Porter, Vancouver, Wash.
He's holed up in a live-in studio, working on a new CD, this one about relationships -- but not just those with women: "One song's about my roommate." Mraz, 27, tells us he recently broke up with a woman who accused him of having a girlfriend just to create material. "She wanted me to wear Marc Jacobs and be super-hip. But I'm Old Navy through and through." Mraz tells us he wants to be like rapper MC Hammer, "going broke because I gave all my money to friends and family."

The women of "Desperate Housewives" are a hoot, but I tune in for James Denton. Fans of ABC's "Threat Matrix" recall him as Special Agent Kilmer; I was first taken with him in Philly, a drama on which he had a sexy denouement with Kim Delaney. Denton, 41, says he took "Housewives" because it called for "women who weren't kids and don't play cops or doctors or lawyers." He's also working on an indie film; the combo makes for strange workweeks. "Yesterday I was in bed making out with Teri [Hatcher]," he tells me, "and today I'm locked up in some crazy insane asylum."
"The View's" Star Jones has lost weight since her engagement to Al Reynolds. How'd she do it?
D. Battista, Spencerport, N.Y.
Jones won't talk diets, darn it. But she will talk engagements, because Sunday night, 24 hours after her own scheduled nuptials, Lifetime airs her special, "Popping the Question." In it, Jones helps three would-be grooms get it right. What's the secret? "Look at what your intended likes and pull something from her life. If she's into movies, do something around movies; if she's into her family, be sure you include her family."
Please give us the latest info on the handsome Matt Damon.
Tiffani-Ann Rogers, Albany, N.Y.
His next movie, "Ocean's Twelve," is due Dec. 10. I expect it to be more fun than the first. Next year, Damon and Heath Ledger are in "The Brothers Grimm." He also has a CIA thriller, "Syriana," with "Ocean's" co-star George Clooney. On the personal front, Damon, 34, and bartender Luciana Barroso, 28, continue their close relationship.
Why is "Monk's" Sharona leaving that popular USA Network show? Monk needs her! What will he do now?
Robert Ove, Rio Rancho, N.M.
Don't worry. The obsessive-compulsive detective, played by Tony Shalhoub, gets a new sidekick, a world-weary former bartender and single mom played by sitcom veteran Traylor Howard, 37 ("Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place"). Bitty Schram, who played Sharona, leaves when the show resumes in January.
What is Jerry Seinfeld doing? And what about his wife, Jessica?
Wendy Hecht, Star, Idaho
Jessica Seinfeld is a full-time mom but also works at a non-profit, Baby Buggy, which she founded to collect clothing and accessories for needy kids in New York City. She tells us that when she had her daughter, "I was overwhelmed with blessings that come with having a child, and it motivated me to reach out." As for Jerry, "He's a workaholic, but also an extremely involved father." And the kids "have very funny personalities."
Has Ari Fleischer been working since he stepped down from being the president's spokesman a year and a half ago?
Sarah Green, Lansing, Mich.
He's busy with three jobs: writing a book, "Taking Heat," due in March; giving speeches; and running a small consulting firm in New York. Fleischer, 44, also became a dad (to daughter Liz, now 6 months), and he hopes to have more kids. "One reason I left the White House was to start a family," he tells us.
