Fantastic Four poster

We enlisted Bryan Hitch, Marvel's go-to artist for cool, reality-based drawings, to create this one-of-a-kind illustration. In it, the movie's stars appear as you won't see them anywhere else: displaying their powers in a gritty, comic-style urban scene. Our heroes -- Jessica Alba as the Invisible Woman, Chris Evans as the Human Torch, Ioan Gruffudd as Mr. Fantastic and Michael Chiklis as the Thing -- practically burst off the page as they "run off to fight a sickie threatening menace from another dimension," Hitch, 35, explains from his studio outside London. Last year, he designed the characters for the "Ultimate Fantastic Four," an updated version of the original.

The movie, based on the comic, which started in 1961, follows a dysfunctional "family" of superheroes who spend as much time bickering as they do battling evil. "It's the 'Flintstones' meets 'All in the Family,'" says Avi Arad, Marvel Studios CEO and a producer of the movie. "It's the story of a family coming together and falling apart."

As a special bonus, Hitch has embedded something extra in our poster: six secret clues, known in comic-book lingo as "Easter eggs," to the "Fantastic Four" universe. For you true-blue fans, he offers this hint: "The biggest menace in FF history is lurking among the buildings behind them." Try to find them all. (Or, see the complete list below.)

Marvel artist Bryan Hitch has embedded something extra in our poster: six hidden clues, known in comic book lingo as "Easter eggs," to the Fantastic Four universe. For those of you who are new to this world, here is a complete list:

<---1. Dr. Doom -- The Fantastic Four's arch enemy. Once a friend and colleague of the Fantastic Four's Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Dr. Doom grows evil out of jealousy. After his face is scarred in an experiment gone awry, he is forced to wear an iron mask.

2. A newsstand, where our heroes can find newspapers that carry USA WEEKEND Magazine!

<---3. Puppet-Master The stepfather of Alicia Masters (a blind artist and romantic interest for Thing), he uses radioactive clay to make puppets of people that he can then control.

<---4. Galactus Sometimes called the Devourer of Worlds or Eater of Planets, he is one of the most-feared beings in the Fantastic Four universe.

5. The Silver Surfer Galactus' herald. Sent to scout for edible planets for the super-being. Silver Surfer eventually betrays him. --->

<---6. Mole Man Shunned by the world because of his ugly appearance, Mole Man rules over an underground civilization, using the creatures and technology there to strike back at the outer world.
