"What ever happened to ...?" is probably the most common question I find in my mailbox. Here is an update on a few celebs with new projects to report.

What's going on with Meg Ryan? Any movies in the works?
Kathy Dasani, Citrus Springs, Fla.

Yes, three. First up is "The Deal," with William H. Macy, which will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Later in the year, she can be seen in "The Women" and then "Homeland Security, alongside Antonio Banderas. Release dates for all three films are pending. She also has been working with the humanitarian group CARE and raising son Jack Henry, 15, and adopted daughter Daisy True, 3.

I have been a fan of actor Avery Brooks ever since the beginning of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," and I miss him. I would love to know that this man's career is doing well.
Darren Garten, Fort Lauderdale

Brooks is doing well, indeed. He is an accomplished opera singer and theater actor, and he recently finished playing the title role in Christopher Marlowe's "Tamburlaine" at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C. He played a Central Asian emperor who is a passionate warrior eventually undone by his ambition. Brooks, 59, had to cancel some performances around Christmastime after an injury, but he returned and finished the run in January.

What is Aisha Tyler doing? Why did she leave "Ghost Whisperer?"
Mac Cochran, Manteno, Ill.

Tyler says her exit from the CBS drama was difficult. "I had the opportunity to take on some film projects, which were a deep passion of mine," she shares with us via e-mail. Tyler, 37, continues to work hard: She's set to tape a one-hour TV comedy special; she's in the crime drama "Black Water Transit" with Laurence Fishburne; she's prepping to direct a film from a script she wrote; and she plans to follow up her 2004 book, "Swerve."

A few years ago, Brendan Fraser was in multiple movies, but I haven't seen him in anything for a while.
J.R. Robinson, Columbus, Ohio

Fraser is terrific in a small movie opening wide this month, "The Air I Breathe." It's a "Traffic"-like ensemble that includes Andy Garcia, Emile Hirsch, Kevin Bacon and Sarah Michelle Gellar. He'll be back in a big way in August, when his third Mummy movie, "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," opens. On the personal front, Fraser, 39, and wife Afton Smith are divorcing.

What is the latest on one of my favorites, John Corbett? Will he be in the new "Sex and the City" movie?
Donna Fitzgerald, Taunton, Mass.

No. But he's excited to see it. He tells us he called buddy Chris Noth for gossip but got "nothing." Corbett is busy with his band; he's opened for Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood. He is making a movie with Charlize Theron, and he made "The Night Watchman" with Forest Whitaker.

Since retiring from the Washington Wizards in 2003, basketball great Michael Jordan has kept a lower profile in the NBA as part-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. Off the court, he's the owner of Michael Jordan Motorsports, currently in its fourth year of sponsoring a team in the Superbike class of the American Motorcyclist Association. Apparently, His Airness, 44, always has been a motorcycle fanatic, but he never could ride during his time in the NBA because of the potential for injury. These days, Jordan's fanatic energy is reserved for rooting for his son Jeff, who is a freshman on the University of Illinois basketball team.
