Dennis Quaid has complained a bit about being pigeonholed as a romantic lead. That's not a problem in the recent Vantage Point, in which he has no romantic interest and few lines. "I say, 'Oh, my God,' then run out of the room," he quips. Luckily, he says, "Acting is about the spaces between the words." Before Quaid, 53, and wife Kimberly welcomed twins last November, he made three other movies. Two of them open this spring: "Smart People," a dark comedy, and "The Horsemen," a thriller. Quaid says it looks like son Jack, 16 in April, will follow him and his mother, Meg Ryan, into the business. "He won't do it probably until he's 18 -- at least not on my watch. He's trying to learn his craft. Some coming up seem to want to be famous first."

I'd like to know more about Bob Harper from NBC's "The Biggest Loser."
M. Bernier, Ripon, Wis.
Harper, 42, fell into a fitness career. Raised on a cattle farm in Adams, Tenn., he ate "meat and three sides" daily. Now he has written a book, "Are You Ready!" "It is about giving people the tools they can use every day," he tell us. "Even I'm never going to have that six-pack; it's unrealistic. One thing I realized on "Biggest Loser" from the people I was working with: They were off track and lost their inner compass."

Tell me what Cybill Shepherd is doing. Has she made any films lately?
Gerald Wade, Hagerman, N.M.
No. But Shepherd, 58, is a woman who likes to work. She has been on Showtime's "The L Word" with her daughter, Clementine Ford, 28. And she performed a one-woman show, "Curvy Widow," in San Francisco. Shepherd was rumored to be in a political film, "4Chosen," but it is not true. If you're a fan, look for the best of her '90s sitcom, "Cybill," on DVD June 24.

When was Miley Cyrus born and where? What path did she follow, and what were the major breaks in her career?

Before that, she took acting lessons, performed in school plays, appeared on dad Billy Ray Cyrus' PAX show "Doc" and got a small part in the Tim Burton film "Big Fish." Miley was born on Nov. 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tenn.

Now that she is a U.S. citizen, Tracey Ullman has a few things to say about life in America, and you will hear them all beginning next Sunday in "Tracey Ullman's State of the Union." "I've lived here 25 years ... and I thought it's time to really join in. So I can vote, work for the post office and wear a uniform," Ullman, 48, tells us. She does in the TV show what she does best: impressions, ranging from a pharmacist who sings like she's a Bollywood star to political pundit Arianna Huffington. "It's a trip around America, taking the nation's pulse from sea to shining sea." Of course, the British-born Ullman couldn't resist giving us her view of a few celebrities, admitting, "I take a bit of creative license with the people I'm impersonating.

What has JoAnna Garcia been doing since her CW sitcom "Reba" went off the air?
Phil Bruno, New York City
You may have seen her in the CBS series "Welcome to the Captain," and she made a Lifetime movie for December, "A Very Merry Daughter of the Bride" with Luke Perry. His "Beverly Hills, 90210" was a favorite of hers, and she says Perry "is so dreamy to this day." When we chat, Garcia, 28, is eager to spend time riding one of her five horses (she also has two chickens and four dogs). "What actors do for a living is self-centered," she says. "My animals are a forced vacation from myself."
