I saw the "American Idol" tour this past summer and fell in love all over again with David Archuleta. Any new plans?
Laura AdamsCanton, Miss.
He's thinking acting. He guest stars as himself in February on Nickelodeon's hit show "iCarly." "It's like singing without the music," Archuleta, 17, says of acting. "I'm not an amazing actor, but it's something I'd like to look into -- maybe take classes."

Patti Austin's new CD, "Patti Austin: An Inspirational Holiday," in stores now, is more than just a gift to the ears ~~ it's a gift to the Earth, too. Austin says she made sure the packaging is recyclable because "I realized I'm singing about sharing and caring, but we were going to produce a package that's going to contribute to more waste." Although Austin, 58, is a Buddhist and says she doesn't celebrate the holidays with presents and decorations, she appreciates the season. "To me, the holidays should be a time when everybody gets into the spirit of volunteerism, into the spirit of putting a smile on the face of the person next to them. That's really the greatest gift."

4 things to know about tough TV "doc" Chandra Wilson
She's a mom. Wilson, 39, has three children --Sarina, 15, Joy, 10, and Michael, 3.
She's good with numbers. Wilson worked for Deutsche Bank for eight years until she started the second season of Grey's Anatomy. "If I weren't an actor, I'd probably be an accountant or in investment banking."
She's looking ahead. "I'm making myself aware of the other side of the camera so there are some options going forward."
She'd pick Yang. Of all the Grey's doctors, Wilson would pick Cristina Yang in an emergency because she's "incredibly competent and doesn't like to fail. She likes to have the right answers."

Wyle is a bookworm in the "Librarian" series.

"He's the most fun character I've ever played," says Noah Wyle about Flynn Carsen, the adventurer in this Sunday's "The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice" on TNT at 8 p.m. ET. He gets to do "comedic pratfalls, action sequences, a little romance." Wyle, 37, an original "ER" cast member, has shot his final four episodes of the NBC series. "I'm excited to have ["ER"] wrap itself up. As long as it's on the air, all of us are still accountable to it."

What can you tell me about "CSI" star William Petersen? We know as little about his real personal life as we do about his character's.
D. Saabye, Fairfield, Calif.
We know Petersen, 55, says farewell to his "CSI" colleagues next month. He'll remain an executive producer and will occasionally appear on the show, but not as a series regular. Petersen married biology teacher Gina Cirone in 2003; he has a daughter from his first marriage and a grandson, 5.

What ever happened to the NBC show "Raines?" I miss it.
Ellen Seltzer, Shelton, Conn.
It was quirky and just didn't get ratings. But now "Raines'" Jeff Goldblum is filling the "Big" shoes left by Chris Noth on USA's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." Goldblum's Detective Zack Nichols has "a therapeutic psychological sensibility and orientation," the actor, 56, tells us. "Sometimes finding the why leads me to solve the what." Goldblum is "thrilled" to be shooting in NYC, where the fans are "appreciative, chatty and full of life."
