Bob Saget, 52, has been on TV for more than 20 years. Still, we unearth a few new nuggets while talking about ABC's "Surviving Suburbia":
1. He's got a daughter, a son and a wife. On the new sitcom, that is. He's actually a divorced dad of three girls (ages 22, 19, 16), who like the show, he says.
2. His new character "is more like I am in real life ... except the guy in the show drinks a little more beer than me."
3. Once his friend, always his friend. "I have this thing I got from my dad ... I don't like the idea of fair-weather friends. It's not, 'I did a show with you. OK, have a good life.' "
4. He doesn't know who the mother is on "How I Met Your Mother," the CBS sitcom he narrates. And its star Alyson Hannigan was once the family babysitter.

"Access Hollywood"'s Nancy O'Dell read many pregnancy books while expecting daughter Ashby, but she still experienced things that could terrify or embarrass a first-time mom-to-be. So she decided to write her own book, the just-out "Full of Life." "I was writing down everything that was happening to me during my pregnancy," O'Dell, 43, tells me. "I started realizing that there were so many things that I was clueless about." She once woke up with red spots and feared she had measles; she had leg cramps and questioned her diet; and you'll have to read what happened on the set of "Grey's Anatomy." "I said to my friends, 'Why didn't y'all tell me about these things?' " O'Dell says. But then if they had, there would be no book.

I have missed seeing Hilary Swank onscreen. Is she working on any new movies?
Cathy Smith, Orem, Utah
Yes, and both are due later this year. Swank, 34, is in the midst of filming "Betty Anne Waters," a true story about a devoted sister who goes to law school so she can free her brother, wrongfully convicted of murder. She's finished work on "Amelia," in which she stars as Amelia Earhart, with Richard Gere playing her husband, promoter and book publisher George Putnam.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards gives an award to best ensemble. How many statues are actually given, and who gets them? Also, who gets the statue for Best Picture at the Oscars?
Tommy Allen Taylor, Kannapolis, N.C.
The SAG Awards gives three ensemble awards -- two for TV (comedy and drama), one for movies. Series regulars get the statues for TV. For movies, actors listed in the main title credits get one. The Academy Award for Best Picture, on the other hand, goes to the producer or producers of the film.

What is Sela Ward up to these days? Any chance her series "Sisters" will be released on DVD?
Julie Clark, Amarillo, Texas
There are no plans for a "Sisters" DVD release, but never say never. If you love Ward, however, check out the DVD of her 1999-2002 drama, "Once and Again;" she's outstanding. Of course, in that series she doesn't get to kiss George Clooney, as she does in Sisters. Ward also is in a fall thriller, "The Stepfather," which sounds creepy but has good names like Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl), Christopher Meloni ("Law & Order: SVU") and my fave, Jon Tenney ("The Closer").

Tween heartthrobs Nat and Alex Wolff, stars of the Nickelodeon series "The Naked Brothers Band," have finished three seasons. So we wondered if real life is much different from what we see on TV. Drummer Alex, 11, tells us he has a bigger vocabulary than his alter ego; Nat, 14, a singer and songwriter, admits he's not always as nice as his TV character. Bottom line, says Nat: The show "is a heightened version of reality. It's all scripted."

I enjoyed "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset" with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Is there a third movie coming?
Garry Persons, Edina, Minn.
No. But director Richard Linklater has a film with Zac Efron, "Me and Orson Welles," on the festival circuit. And he's working with Hawke on a 12-year project chronicling a child growing up. They've been shooting a few days a year since 2002.
