Where is Peri Gilpin, who was Roz on the sitcom "Frasier?"
Roger LaPointe, Clarksville, Tenn.

Gilpin, 48, is in the ABC Family series "Make It or Break It," which wraps up this week. She plays a mom to teen girls, a window to her future; her own twin girls are 5. Gilpin tells me that she and pal Jane Leeves, who played Daphne, had a production company, but they never got anything made because both have their hands full with little kids (Leeves also has two).

What is the tall Texan Tommy Tune doing?
Dolores Vann, Denton, Texas

At 70, 6-foot-6 Tune is still dancing. His autobiographical musical evening "Steps in Time" has been playing various venues and is booked into 2010. Watch out for Tune's high-stepping in his -- and your -- home state of Texas next May (in Galveston), after making stops in New York, California and Florida.

Who's hot in Hollywood
Larenz Tate is the definition of bicoastal, living in L.A. while he works in NYC on "Rescue Me." The actor, 33, who plays Black Shawn on FX's drama, was the new kid when he arrived in the fictional firehouse, but he tells me the guys immediately took to him. "When I'm in L.A., we shoot each other e-mails all the time. Some of the best stuff between us is what goes on off-camera." ... "Which Way Home," on HBO Monday, is a documentary that will break your heart. John Malkovich, one of the producers, tells me he watched just 11 minutes of it before finding it worthy of funding. It's about kids from south of the border who ride freight trains to the states. "Americans have strong feelings about this," he says, "but immigration is not so easy -- legal or illegal."

"You can quote me"
"You'd have a conversation with one of the writers over a beer. ... Next thing you knew, some of what you said was in a script."

What are the main cast members of "thirtysomething" doing now, including the actor who played Miles Drentell?
Patrick Kellar, La Porte, Ind.

All have been acting or directing in television. The "thirtysomething" eight (counting David Clemmons as the evil Miles) had delectable chemistry. "We really and truly enjoyed working together," says Melanie Mayron, who played Melissa. The first season of the series, a touchstone for the time (1987-91), will be out on DVD Tuesday. Mel Harris, who played Hope, tells us, "I guess this means I can get rid of all the videotapes rotting in my attic."

How old is the girl who plays Nathan Fillion's daughter on "Castle?" She looks 12.
Tony De Vito, Medford, N.Y.

Mature-for-her-age Alexis Castle is 15, and so is Molly Quinn, who plays her. The Texas-raised redhead began begging her parents to get her an agent in sixth grade. When Quinn went in to read lines with Fillion, she had no idea who he was, but after the reading, "I was like, 'I don't care what I do, even if it's handing him water. I have to work with him!' " Quinn, whose drama returns Sept. 21 on ABC, plans to act into adulthood. "I can't see myself doing anything else," she says.

Tell me about Fox News commentator Greta Van Susteren. Married? Children?
Carol A., Oshkosh, Wis.

She's married to a Washington, D.C., lawyer, and they have no kids. Van Susteren, 55, travels frequently to interview newsmakers like Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and blogs about it all on GretaWire.com.
