Craig T. Nelson hasn't made a series since "The District." Will he be in anything soon?
Judy Mathews, Tallahassee
He's in NBC's new "Parenthood," to air in March, and he was in "The Proposal," on DVD Oct. 13. Nelson, 65, partly credits his un-Hollywood social life for career longevity. "I've suffered for it to some degree," he tells us, "but I don't find it necessarily invigorating. I'd rather read."

I missed Gina Ravera as Irene Daniels on TNT's "The Closer" this summer. Where was she?
Audrey Johnson, Indianapolis
Ravera's Daniels was transferred off the roster, a rare misstep for the cable drama. But, as Ravera points out: "They didn't kill her! So there's still a possibility she could come back." Meanwhile, Ravera, 43, says she's writing and producing a show of her own, a "Closer"-esque psychological drama she hopes TNT will pick up. "I'm impressed by actors who have added the role of producer to their credits," she tells us, "stars like Will Smith, Mark Wahlberg, Drew Barrymore and Tom Hanks."

Will ABC bring back "Miss Guided," starring our local celeb Judy Greer?
Michelle Smith, Livonia, Mich.
No. A shame, says Greer, 34, because she loved the show and her boss, Ashton Kutcher. "He gave my dad a Harley-Davidson motorcycle just because he promised me that if the show got picked up, he would," she says. In "Love Happens," out now, Jennifer Aniston plays Greer's boss and friend; Greer thinks Aniston would be "mad cool" as a real-life BFF. "But I guess Jennifer doesn't think so, because we don't really keep in touch," she jokes.

My daughter and I are "Gilmore Girls" fans who want to know where to see Alexis Bledel, who played Rory. She must be acting.
Shana Ross, Charles City, Iowa
Not much. But she was in "Post Grad," a summer comedy about finding a job in a bad economy. Next is "The Good Guy," which explores morality on Wall Street.

Will there ever be a "JAG" reunion?
Bill True, Utica, N.Y.
Not likely. But don't blame creator Donald P. Bellisario. He wants one for all of the fans who kept "JAG" on the air for 10 years. Plus, "It would be great fun to work with the cast and crew of 'JAG' again," he tells us. The real question, says Bellisario, is whether CBS Paramount, which owns the rights to the popular series, wants a reunion. And we couldn't get a definitive answer on that.

Who's hot in Hollywood
Kris Kristofferson's new CD, "Closer to the Bone," is reflective and wistful: He's 73, after all. He lives in Hawaii but is in Nashville the day we talk, and he's annoyed that he's having trouble with names as he recalls his early years there. "I was lucky to have been here when Music Row was two blocks, and there were so many people just like me, who loved songwriting and shared it." ... Ming-Na, 45, loves to learn. "I'm learning how to play Wii because my kids [ages 8 and 3] are totally into it," says the star of Syfy's new "Stargate Universe." "And I'm going to take tae kwon do. My daughter got me into it. Mama's still got some moves!" Her "new vice" is Twitter: "It's going to be so cool to get feedback after an episode airs."
