I love the jewels and clothes on "Bones" stars Emily Deschanel and Tamara Taylor. Designers?
Pat Cooper, Mequon, Wis.

For Taylor's style, "Keep it sleek, slim and simple," says "Bones" costumer Cynthia Summers. She uses designers Paul Smith, Herve Leger and Karen Millen. The large jewelry that Deschanel, above, wears is often a Kate Lindsay design; the delicate ones are by Aklia Chinn.

Was that Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon's daughter, Sosie, in the final four episodes of this past season of "The Closer?"
Rose Somma, Lecanto, Fla.

Yes. Sedgwick works in L.A. while the family is in NYC, so she had to be thrilled to have Sosie, 17 -- who played Brenda's niece -- as a co-star.

Is David Caruso, of "CSI Miami," married? Does he have children?
Pat Lynett, Antigo, Wis.

Caruso, 53, isn't married but has three kids -- one with an ex-wife, actress Rachel Ticotin, and two with an ex-girlfriend who sued him for fraud, among other charges, earlier this year.

Will HBO renew "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" for a second season? I loved it.
Patricia O'Prey, Palisades, N.Y.

At press time, a second season for the series, based on books by Alexander McCall Smith, still was being discussed. Part of the problem is that two of its creative visionaries, movie directors Anthony Minghella and Sydney Pollack, died soon after production on the first season began. Last month, the seven episodes of Season 1 came out on DVD.

A few weeks ago, you referred to "thirtysomething"'s David Clennon as "Clemmons." Please give him his own item.
Peter Falina, Belfast, Maine

Clennon, 66, married with twins, has worked steadily, yet he's surprised when people know his name: "They say, 'Oh, there's that guy we saw in something. He looks familiar.' That's all I really expect. There are so many actors, I don't know how they keep track."

Who's hot in Hollywood

When "Ugly Betty"'s Ana Ortiz says she's "a little overloaded," we understand, given that she was at work two weeks after having her first child this summer. Luckily, the ABC show relocated last year to New York, where Ortiz, 38, was born. "I can't imagine doing this 3,000 miles away from my mother," says Ortiz, married to musician Noah Lebenzon. Ortiz tells us that "Betty" star America Ferrera "started my daughter's library. [We're] both voracious readers, always exchanging books, talking about them." ... Thanks to a working wife and four kids, Anthony Edwards, 47, knows a lot about the subject of his new movie, "Motherhood." "It's difficult for any [working] mother to balance out that great desire to be with their children," says Edwards, whose "ER" success lets him spend plenty of time at home. "I've yet to meet a man who says, 'I wish I spent less time with my kids.' "
