Who's hot in Hollywood

CSI: Miami star Omar Miller is a proud proponent of Black History Month, and it's one of the reasons that he wanted to star in Blood Done Sign My Name, in theaters now. That film is based on a true story of racial injustice in 1970s small-town North Carolina. When Miller moved to Orange County, Calif., with his parents and six older siblings in the early '80s, "we were the only black family on the block," says the 31-year-old actor. Since then, diversity has influenced "every decision that I make in my work and how I am as a person. That's why I really think that people take to me on the screen. I'm not glamorous. I don't look like a movie star per se. I look like a regular person who they may know."

I enjoy watching TLC's What Not to Wear. What happened to hair stylist Nick Arrojo?

Gail Koster, Las Vegas

Arrojo's still wielding scissors, just not on the show. He left What Not to Wear during its seventh season as part of a move to "keep it fresh," TLC's Nancy Daniels says. Arrojo, 44, says he was sad about leaving but "comfortable with the decision." He says he walked away proud of his work: "I truly enjoyed every minute of it." Arrojo, who owns a salon in New York City, charges $500 for a haircut. His hair care line is more affordable: An 8-ounce bottle of daily shampoo is $11.

Drea de Matteo's Desperate Housewives character, Angie, has a retro, hippie look with more sophistication. Who puts together her outfits?

Barbara Seretsky, Gilbert, Ariz.

Credit Cate Adair, the ABC show's Emmy-nominated costume designer. "The script calls for the character to look out of place on Wisteria Lane," says Adair, who designs a line of handbags. "And for sure, this is an out-of-place -- and hopefully a bit mysterious -- look for the show's suburban location."

Does Daniela Ruah, who plays Kensi Blye on NCIS: Los Angeles, have different-color eyes?

Diane Wieczorek, Clinton Township, Mich.

Your eyes are not deceiving you. Ruah was born with a birthmark that covers her right eye, which makes her hazel iris appear dark brown or black. "It's something that makes me me, because there are not a lot of people who have this," says Ruah, who was born in Boston but raised in Portugal. The 26-year-old actress says she shares her character's tomboyish and impulsive traits. "I don't destroy cars, though," Ruah says. "I'm a good-girl, impulsive kind of person."
