Who's hot in Hollywood

Chloe Moretz, 13, is getting attention for playing the foulmouthed youngster Hit Girl in a new action film, in theaters April 16. Surprisingly, her parents were all for her starring in the movie opposite Nicolas Cage, who plays her onscreen dad in Kick-Ass. “Obviously, if I ever [cursed like that] in real life, my mom and dad would kill me. I would be grounded till I was 23!” says Moretz, who’ll also star in the vampire film Let Me In this fall ...

The popular Fox series Glee returns with new episodes on Tuesday, and star Jessalyn Gilsig, finally gets to belt out a tune near the end of the season. “Let’s just say it might be the last thing I ever expected to sing,” says Gilsig, 38, who plays Terri Schuester, the estranged wife of glee club teacher Will (Matthew Morrison). The veteran of Heroes and Nip/Tuck enjoys the recognition she receives from the show’s fans: “There’s nothing nicer than kids coming over to you and saying, ‘Are you Mrs. Schue?’”

Who is the actress who played the brief role of Naomi Dorrit on Lost? What other roles has she had?

Kenneth Morgan, Bossier City, La.

That's 34-year-old British beauty Marsha Thomason. She played a member of the reconnaissance crew put together by wealthy industrialist Charles Widmore (Alan Dale) to capture Ben Linus (Michael Emerson) on Lost's mysterious island during Season 3. Thomason's character died, but she says she won't soon forget her Lost days. “I had such a blast. I was a big fan of the show, and I still watch,” she tells us. “It was interesting to be a fan and then work on it.” Thomason now plays a sports agent on ABC Family's gymnastics drama Make It or Break It and an FBI agent on USA's White Collar.

When is Drop Dead Divacoming back to Lifetime?

A. Turell, Las Vegas

The show will return for its second season June 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Expect to see an array of guest stars, including Paula Abdul, who will appear in a dream sequence of the show's star, Jane, played by Brooke Elliott. The actress, 35, tells us that her star turn has been life-changing. “Life has gotten much busier since playing such a wonderfully challenging role — lots of prep time, study time and learning my lines time,” she says.

Mad Men is one of my favorite shows. Can you tell me when the new season will begin?

Peggy Nadin, Scottsdale, Ariz.

You're not alone: The critically acclaimed series starring Jon Hamm as an advertising hotshot in 1960s New York has nabbed the Emmy for best drama two years in a row. Season 4 airs this summer on AMC. Hamm, 39, tells us when he's not filming Mad Men, he doesn't look as “sharp” as his character, the mysterious and dapper Don Draper: “I get very tired of shaving. I used to shave twice a day. I decided I would stop shaving.”

I have a bet with my grandson, who is a big fan of Showtime's Dexter. I think it was on CBS at one time. Who wins?

Pat Cristiano, Ronkonkoma, N.Y.

You win. Dexter, the grisly drama about a serial killer that first aired on Showtime in October 2006, also appeared on CBS in early 2008. Showtime's sister network ran 12 edited-for-broadcast episodes to fill a programming void caused by the three-month-long writers' strike. In the show, Michael C. Hall, 39, stars as a forensics expert by day who moonlights as a justice-dispensing serial killer.

Lorena Blas, Cindy Clark, Arienne Thompson, Brian Truitt
