Who's hot in Hollywood

Adam Scott gets plenty of time to laugh as part of the Starz ensemble comedy Party Down, which begins its second season April 23. Scott, 37, says he grew up watching the 1980s movies of his comedy heroes Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. "Not that I'm as good as any of those guys, but they're certainly an influence, I'm sure," he says.

Brian Austin Green, 36, who stars in the Hallmark Movie Channel's The Wild Girl April 24, says coping with girlfriend Megan Fox's fame is more difficult than the challenges he faced two decades ago when he shot to fame on Beverly Hills, 90210. "Now it's a completely different game because of the Internet. Someone can snap a picture, and within five minutes it's online. But I was able to hold Megan's hand and tell her, 'It'll be OK. It will feel normal at some point.' "

Q When will Shania Twain release a new album?

Ute Byrda, Phoenix

There's no news on the album front, according to her record label, but Twain raised her profile recently through her well-received stint as a judge on American Idol. Twain, 44, reassured her fans that she hasn't given up on music via a note she wrote from the Caribbean and posted on her website in February: “Many of the songs from The Woman in Me and Come on Over were written in the tropics, so it's a good place for me to be creative.”

Q Who sings the song in the Travelers Insurance commercial where the dog tries to hide his bone?

Angel Storie, Lenoir, N.C.

Ray LaMontagne, 35, is the voice you hear singing Trouble, from the album of the same name, in the commercial that features a male terrier mix from a rescue shelter, according to an ad agency spokeswoman. The American folk singer resides in Maine.

Q Could you please tell me about Cliff Curtis, who plays “Rabbit” Palchuk on NBC's Trauma?

Allison Dunne, Mount Juliet, Tenn.

A native of New Zealand, Curtis is a veteran of films such as Training Day and Whale Rider and can be seen this summer in The Last Airbender. But Curtis revels in his small-screen role as a macho paramedic. “Rabbit's emotional range is cool, cooler and coolest,” says Curtis, 41, who loves doing his own stunts.

Q How does Wheel of Fortune's Vanna White keep herself looking so good?

Bob Doi, San Jose

Sussing out White's beauty secrets is easier than solving a Wheel of Fortune puzzle. The legendary letter-turner, 53, tells us she has an incentive to stay slim: those form-fitting frocks she has been wearing on the air for 27 seasons. So she hits the treadmill or stationary bike in her Los Angeles home six days a week for 45 minutes. As for diet, “I've learned to eat only when I'm hungry. That's a big one,” says White, who nonetheless indulges from time to time, especially with her two children — Nicholas, 15, and Giovanna, 12 — around.
