The newest and often nuttiest pop culture has to offer will converge at Comic-Con in San Diego this week as movie and TV studios showcase their biggest wares. As many as 125,000 fans are expected for the annual display of stars, superheroes and special effects. And for the third straight year, I will be on the front lines bringing the scoop to our readers.
Here are some things I can't wait to see:
• Oscar winner Jeff Bridges leading a panel for TRON: Legacy, the December sequel that will try to out-awesome Avatar's 3-D triumph.
• All those superheroes. I'll get first looks at potential blockbusters Thor, The Green Hornet and more.
• Is The Walking Dead the next big hit for AMC? After the success of Mad Men and Breaking Bad, people are — ahem — dying to see footage of this survivors-in-a-zombie-world drama premiering in October.
