You may already know that political reporter Norah O’Donnell, 37, is the new chief White House correspondent for CBS News.

But you may not realize that the highflying broadcast journalist, now also a contributor to 60 Minutes and a Face the Nation substitute anchor, is the married mother of three to Riley, 3, and twins Henry and Grace, 4.

She spoke to us about tackling it all:

Work vs. family.

“I don’t like the phrase ‘balancing work and family.’ The idea that there’s some sort of balance leaves people [feeling] guilty. I spend more time at work than at home with my three beautiful children, and I’m not going to feel guilty about that.”

Women vs. men.

“I’m amazed male executives still say to me, ‘How are you going to do this job with three young kids at home?’ Men are never asked that question.”

How she relaxes.

Exercise “and a good Sauvignon Blanc and Stacy’s Pita Chips.”
