Anjelica Huston is the latest film actress to star on the small screen: She’s in NBC’s Smash (Mondays, 10 p.m. ET). Great roles on TV are “not just a good thing for the actresses, it’s a good thing for the viewers,” Huston says. A chat with the Oscar winner, 60, from Smash’s New York set:
Aging. “I’ve been ‘aging’ since I won the Oscar at 34. I always remember they used to refer to Jack Nicholson [her friend and ex-boyfriend] as balding. Well, he’s still balding and I’m still aging.”
Secret talent. “I make really good jams and jellies from things from my farm [north of Los Angeles]. We make some really good salsa and habanero jelly and marmalade.”
Guilty pleasure. Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta and Beverly Hills.
Pets. Seven cats live at her home in Venice, Calif. “They’re basically cats that show up and I feed them.”
