With temperatures skyrocketing, it’s crucial to remain hydrated. Richard Wiese, host of Born to Explore, attests that dehydration can cause fatigue, joint and pain stiffness. “At one time or another I have been in unique destinations around the world where creativity has been key in staying hydrated,” Wiese says. His smart ideas:
• Flavor your water so you’ll drink more. Go beyond the standard lemon and try fresh berries or cucumber; basil also adds a nice twist.
• Use the summer as an opportunity to switch from coffee to green tea and its health benefits.
• Add cucumber to your sandwiches — they are almost 95% water.
• Summer’s best fruits contain water. Try peaches, watermelons or blueberries.
