4th Saturday every October

America's largest day of doing good, Make A Difference Day, is the fourth Saturday in October.

We at USA WEEKEND Magazine are saddened by the death of Paul Newman, an extraordinary philanthropist and a valued partner in Make A Difference Day since its early years. We will miss him. Newman's annual donation of $100,000 to charities of Make A Difference Day volunteers continues through his food label, Newman's Own.
What is Make A Difference Day? Make A Difference Day is the largest national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone can participate. USA WEEKEND and Newman's Own salute Make A Difference Day volunteers by awarding $100,000 for charity.

Use the DAYtabank to register your projects so you can ask for additional volunteers and gain helpful publicity. When you register your project, you're eligible to receive breakfast for your volunteers courtesy of Newman's Own.
