Want to help, but don't know what to do?

Let the Idea Generator help you find a project idea to help your community. Simply answer these three questions for the Idea Generator, and your brain will be swimming with ideas from successful Make A Difference Day projects.

Some of the ideas are small. Some are very big and involve hundreds of people. You've come to the right place, though. This is that all-important first step to making a difference in the world.

1. Tell the Idea Generator which of these sentences best describes your interest in Make A Difference Day. Pick one, please:

You would like to do an individual, personal project or family effort.
You want to include, or lead an effort with an organization, club or civic group you already belong to.
You are a student or teacher who wants to get involved.
You would like to get involved by helping an established volunteer organization for a large event.
You want to start an effort and get your employer or co-workers involved.

2. Do you want to use the skills you use in your occupation or do you want to do something completely different? Think about the skills you or your organization might share and check the area that best applies.

You might provide a specialty service or information.
(Such as accounting, child care, computer tech, entertaining, health care, employment training, coaching sports or even making a friendly visit to someone who needs cheering.)
You wish to provide skilled labor or goods.
(Such as home repair, carpentry, plumbing, construction, arts/crafts, cleaning, hauling or food handling.)
It doesn't matter, I will do anything that makes a difference

3. Think about what your community needs and let the Idea Generator know how you or your group would most like to help.

Mentoring and safeguarding children and teens
Helping the needy or homeless
Assist disabled people, relief for convalescents
Cleanups and the environment
No specifics, just give me some ideas to make a difference
